It is very spiritual and vital for people who have come to the Lord to learn the place of occasionally closing-in themselves, shutting out the whole world to intentionally engage the Lord with purpose in order to refresh, resource and restore themselves.
Many believers wonder why after having believed in Jesus Christ, they still suffer many woes and do not show much advancement in life. The answer is simple, to produce tangible outcomes of triumph in this life, the believer must develop an absolute commitment to apply all diligence in employing their entire essence to intentionally engage all they believe in.
In prayer, the believer who has Christ as their now life must not lose sight of these truths:
- Christ is the additional space the believer has for manoeuvrability. When it looks like one has come to an end of solutions, Christ gives additional space. The believer can never be stuck in any situation. When everyone says things have come to an end, you say, ‘this is just the beginning,’ because Christ offers you more room to manoeuvre.
- Christ is the supply of Divinity for Divinity: causing works divine to proceed out of the believer’s life.
- He is the voice that superimposes over every other voice.
In prayer, the believer must never lose sight of the truth that the Christ life defies every reason and sense, therefore produces unexplainable results.
Every believer must come to the comprehension that God’s ultimate desire for man as expressly said in Romans 8:28-30, is not plenty wealth, academic achievements and all the seemingly good things of life, but God’s ultimate intent for man is to be conformed to the image of Christ. What God pre-destined us to is Union with Christ! This knowledge must then fuel how one approaches prayer.
Every believer approaching prayer should necessarily ensure they spend time praying into the outward expression of Christ in their lives. That Christ be continually increased and visible in their day to day lives.
Again in prayer, there must be the maintained conciousness that:
- The excellency of the power is of God. So when one stands before any matter, it is Christ at work.
- It is not of the believer’s own strength, it is of Christ’s Spirit. Therefore the believer must always maintain the confidence and boldness to talk as Christ in prayer.
Every believer who is conscious of Christ being their Now life will necessarily be a praying believer. Don’t stop talking the word in prayer, talk it until you see it take flesh!
